The 56th Ontario Invitational Sale Triumphs Over Covid-19
After months of preparation, and despite Covid-19 challenges and restrictions, the 56th Ontario Invitational Sale successfully concluded today. The Sale, re-scheduled from an April 4th live sale, took place as the first online sale in the history of Jersey Ontario.
Highlights:
- The sale grossed over $ 116,000 on 47 Lots
- Sale average $ 2,474
- Top seller “Riview Colton Glo For It”, consigned by Riview Jerseys, Carp, ON, sold for $5,950 to Syndicate Dominicana, Mallorytown, ON
In early April, the OIS Committee and Jersey Ontario were faced with the challenge of continuing with or cancelling the 2020 OIS. With great consideration the decision was made to continue the sale in an electronic format in order to adhere to the new social distancing requirements.

The OIS adjusted. The Committee wants to thank the volunteers and Directors who invested countless hours, the breeders who took the huge leap of faith to consign to the 2020 OIS and to the wonderful members of Jersey Ontario and breeders throughout the industry that supported today’s sale. Thank you.
